KORI began as a groundbreaking innovation for motorcyclists, a vision of perfect freedom and uncompromised safety.
Today, we are growing into a brand with genuinely developed products with high Swedish made quality and we have
taken our vision of freedom and safety to meet sports enthusiasts with different specializations that and likeminded needs.

For us it is the feeling and experience of the sport or activity that sets focus on which needs to be solved and how
the products should be designed.

Our first product, KORI-D3O which is a new concept of back protectors that can be transformed into a back pack.
In this blog you will follow our journey and our inspirations.

We want to share a summer greeting from one of our KORI users, Margareta, on a motorcycle trip to a wonderful beach on a lovely summer day.

"Comfortable with back protection which in an instant becomes a backpack so I can easily carry with me my motorcycle clothing o also avoid having sand in them."

Margareta goes motorcycling as often as the weather permits! She shares the interest with her husband and together they go on trips, visiting new places and wonderful destinations! The KORI-concept is something that compliment their motorcycle interest. By experience she is careful with her equipment and does not want to leave it on the motorcycle and carrying it with her was previously cumbersome or warm and hot. Now there are no more worries...

Thank you Margaret for this fine summer greeting!

kori experience made in sweden wish list 2012/2013

So we are back and we have a whole new year in front of us. We hope that everyone has had a nice Christmas holiday with family, friends, food and laughs. Did Santa give you what you wished for? On KORI’s wish-list for Santa you could find, among with other things:

We all have something in common..

kori protection for motorcycling, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile, skate, parkour
KORI is about protecting Your body & spine...
...simply preserving Your core.
When we designed the brand KORI we searched for a way to describe the beautiful feeling and enthusiasm encountered by driving a motorcycle… but we soon realised that motorcycling only was one of many medium to experience these certain feelings.

Whether it is on the road, in the slope, on water or in a rail parc the experience we are approaching is all about the freedom of being outside, close to nature and exploring new environments, undertaking new challenges and provoke your personal boundaries, feeling that you are alive.

We have asked people; motorcyclists, skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, skaters, climbers and other sport enthusiast, what encourages them in their sport… and the responses are very alike, here are a selection:

“It is a feeling of undisclosed freedom. The feeling of flexibility and mobility.”
“It gives Freedom and serenity”
“It is a feeling of being proud, special and unique”
“It is Freedom. The wind and the smell of different shades of nature.”
“It is a dose of adrenaline”
“It is the total concentration on the interaction between myself, my equipment and the laws of nature given in an almost artistic sense. It is beautiful in a way.”
“It is Adrenaline and flexibility -> Freedom”
“It is almost like flying, though without a plane”

This “it” that is described is the core-feeling that evolves the enthusiasm that surrounds these sports. KORI is our interpretation of the word core in this context.

So... on roads that are empty and curvy … slopes that are dazzling white and powdery… fields, green and wavy or white and endless.. we all have something in common, we have “it” in common.

KORI - Encouraging freedom. Encouraging Safety.

New review from Norway

back protector back pack review from bikeport norway
Mona Forsnes at Bikeport

Our friend from Norway, Mona Forsnes, has previously driven with the KORI back protector on rides in the city where she has experienced the freedom of being able to take off the equipment and store it in the backpack.

In this article she describes the other possibilities that comes with this new concept. She compares it with a normal backpack after using it on the flight. She also describes how KORI can make a day on the beach even more relaxing, just knowing that the equipment still will be there when she returns to the bike to go home.

Living the dream

A fantastic evening! This Thursday offered an evening the Swedish artists Laleh together with Timbuktu & Damn at the glorious Sofiero Castle.

motorcycle ride to a picnic concert, perfect usage for the kori back protector and backpack
Ready to go, picnic was packed (it was an outdoor concert)!

The road along the coast driving north up to Sofiero offered incredible contrasts of arable land, city life and "French-Riviera-esteem" a coastline and coastal idyll that should be experienced, not least on the motorcycle! Closing in to the castle, all cars was instructed to park far away from the castle… while on a motorcycle we were instructed to proceed to the car park right in front of the entrance, there is always a gap for motorcycle!

mtorocycle equipment is warm, undress the equipment and store it in the kori back protector
As the weather was nice and warm, we undressed the motorcycle equipment fast and packed it into the KORI backpack...

mtorocycle equipment is packed in the back protector and the picnic blanket is strapped on the outside of the backpack
..strapped on the blanket easily accessible in the elastic strapping on the outside of the backpack.

We made it through the security check "Bottles & dangerous object" with an impressed comment about the packing volume and the comfort of getting rid of the equipment! Maybe the security-girl also drove motorcycle ...

using the kori backpack as a pillow, stored with equipment

Then we packed up the blanket and picnic and waited for the artists! The backpack with the equipment were perfect pillows :-)

We were not alone excited about tonight's show ...

Enjoyed a fantastic concert with Timbuktu and Damn which this year celebrates 10 years together and gave us a lovely dance show!

Then came Laleh! I can not help thinking that she is the perfect combination of Ronja, Dileva and Björk.. A very private and not fully thought through interpretation of course .. yet .. She offered a personal presence, with a bright & dramatic show!
After a few hours in the great castle environment and with a nice summer heat we were and happy ready to go home! With the motorcycle we drove smoothly past the traffic jam and then remained a nice trip home. Evening and night driving is underestimated, the air is cooler, the roads are empty and night lighting creates a special, exciting, almost mysterious feeling .. It was lovely.

An incredible evening, where the motorcycle and our back protector made it all go easy and giving it the extra touch of satisfaction!

A lovely summer evening at the Tuesday bike meeting in Lödde.

Every Tuesday, thousands of visitors comes to the weekely biker event in Lödde, it's a Tuesday meeting that attracts both car enthusiasts and motorcyclists - every week throughout the summer! As a motorcyclist you drive into the area, park the motorcycle, get off the bike and then around the area to be impressed by car enthusiasts, then you eat a hot dog or just hang out and absorb the atmosphere.
A typical time when the personal equipment is perceived as warm and clunky ...

Many people choose to undress the motorcycle equipment and it is often left unsupervised on the motorcycle. Motorcycle equipment for several, several thousand dollars in a pile next to the motorcycle or hanging on the motorcycle ...

Another interesting week..

Though now I start feeling a difference…something has changed… being in the paper and releasing the video-teaser last Friday and attending the Methodmag Frontline Rail Jam last Saturday seem to have changed things slightly…

This week has given us..

..speaking at “Entrepreneurship on Tour”- meetings interesting and inspiring people, and getting great feedback from one more potential KORI user – who really understood the value of being able to store his equipment after getting of the bike - great! Thank you for your nice feedback!

Purchasing all (almost…) small things that is needed around KORI to be able to administrate, package & ship KORI in the best and most convenient way..
Releasing our second video-clip.. see the video!

Brooding about the lost of a great inspiration (Steve jobs 2011-10-05)..

And above that, by mail, getting our first KORI-christmas-present-reservation!

Today – Friday! I sit and smile to a blue sky, thinking of all I’ve learned, all impressions I have gotten… the rain from yesterday is gone, today the sun is shining… enhancing the feeling that something is starting to change…

KORI has taken one step up, to the next level...
